Weekend Surprise !!
I found a small news in one of the newspapers saying there is a bird identification workshop organized by BNHS this weekend. I knew BNHS from my old acquaintances so I wrote a email saying I am interested. Got a response , completed formalities and went for the program.
What I got out of the program over the last two days is a wonderful experience ! We all see birds everyday or probably some day (depends on the area you are staying ...todays highrises have no natural trees ). And to know then and then know that there are about 40 species that you can spot in the city was amazing.
The first day was spent with the basics. The second day - a nature trail was mind-blowing !. So may birds close to this city ! I never imagined this.
We went to Karnala along with the instructor. And I saw 20+ species..interesting isnt it :-) ...
There were so many - racket-tailed drongo , seprent eagle , munias , flycatchers - birds that we have probably seen and heard about.
So I have decided...I am going to be regular at Karnala for this year !
